The Work
Dr. E didn’t set out to challenge medicine. She set out to practice it well.
She built a conventional primary care practice, followed the guidelines, trusted the data, and cared for thousands of patients. That approach worked until it didn’t. When her wife became seriously ill, answers stopped coming. Tests were normal. Reassurance was plentiful. Progress was not.
That experience exposed a problem bigger than any single visit or diagnosis. Medicine works best once disease is obvious, measurable, and coded. Everything before that moment is harder to name, easier to dismiss, and often missed entirely.
Dr. E founded EG Healthcare to deliver high-quality, NP-led primary care at scale, and she remains actively involved in its leadership and mission. Over time, it became clear that individual practices were not the real bottleneck. The deeper issue was structural: how clinicians are trained, how patients are conditioned, and how dismissal becomes normalized long before anyone intends harm.
That realization shifted the scope of her work.
Today, Dr. E speaks nationally on medical gaslighting, patient dismissal, and the limits of modern healthcare design. Through stages, media, podcasts, and digital platforms, she reaches millions of people each year, translating system failures into language patients and clinicians can actually use. Her work helps people understand why reassurance so often replaces answers, and how to navigate care with clarity and persistence when early concerns are brushed aside.
That same systems lens shapes her work in education. Through EG Prep, Dr. E prepares the next generation of Nurse Practitioners for clinical confidence, judgment, and real-world decision-making when patients do not fit neatly into protocols.
She operates where medicine meets real life. That is where her work begins.
(And yes, she also has a life. She lives with her wife, three children, and a fluctuating number of rescued cats, currently six.)
VISION
I started off with a conventional medical practice, EG Healthcare and I am proud to care for so many. But everything changed when my wife became ill. I soon realized we needed more.
Her illness led me on an intense journey to find deeper answers. I explored integrative and functional medicine, bringing these insights back to my patients and sharing them through my social media, podcasts, and speaking engagements. I became a fierce advocate for my patients and clients.
This journey has also put me at the forefront of NP advocacy. I have become a trailblazer for Nurse Practitioners, leading the charge at the forefront of healthcare. My journey has been one of transformation, pushing boundaries, and redefining what’s possible in medicine.

2020
Established The Knew Method, which provided Functional Medicine Coaching for clients worldwide. Helping empower patients to realize their symptoms are not in their heads.
